When I type in my mileage I get a message in the future maintenance that says "Seems that your car has been running for a very long time. What is a conventional motor vehicle? : A conventional motor vehicle is a every day vehicle. It is almost every car you see on the road. Conventional motor vehicles do not have aftermarket modifications, high performance parts, and they are usually used as a daily driver.
How accurate are your statistics? : We strive to give you the most up to date information that we can, but there is always room for error. If you are unsure of something that is said on this website, please refer to your automobile's user manual or a professional mechanic.
Are you a certified mechanic? : No, I am just a guy that got tired of not knowing enough about my car to do routine maintenance. This website started because I used Google on many occasions to find out information about routine maintenance but I always found more crap than I would have liked to and I could not find any specific place to find everything I need. I wanted an easier way for myself to find what I need.

I did, however, get my information from reliable sources such as Yahoo automotive, automotive forums, and local professional, certified mechanics.
What type of car do I need for this site? : Almost any. That is the beauty of this site. Almost every typical car you drive uses the same or close to the same maintenance schedules. This site is great for you to get a good idea of what you should do to keep your car running in tip top condition.
How do I use your site? : That is the easy part. On the home page just type in your current vehicle's mileage and click the "Find Out" button to see what we recommend for you and your current mileage. If you have a data phone, you can download our Android or Apple app to easily find out your maintenance plan.

Lastly, you can sign up for an account to get monthly maintenance reminders and the ability to setup and save multiple cars.

When I type in my mileage I get a message that says "You are all good! We do not have any mileage records that would indicate that you missed any tune ups. Please refer to the list below for tune ups that you may have to get in the near future.". Does that mean I have not missed anything? : That is correct. The mileage you entered was low enough to exclude any routine maintenance. This typically happens because you have a new car with very low miles or you may have typed in the wrong mileage.
When I type in my mileage I get a message in the future maintenance that says "Seems that your car has been running for a very long time. You made it this far, I think that you will be alright without our help. If you think we may have missed something, please use our contact page to let us know so we can help someone else down the road.". Does this mean that I do not have to maintain my automobile any more? : No. You always have to maintain your automobile. This just means that your car has a lot of miles on it and you have lasted longer than the typical scheduled maintenance program. This does not mean that you are through, it just means that you need to keep doing things like you have been doing them...you obviously did something right to make it to this point.
How long before I need to do the future maintenance? : It depends on what you need done. You should be able to read the description of the maintenance and see about how many miles you are looking at before you need to worry about it.

Keep in mind, that the items that are listed in the past maintenance do not show up in the future maintenance, but some items like the oil need to be maintained every 3,000 miles. Just because it is not listed, does not mean that you don't need to worry about it anymore.
